Forest grown,
Hand finished.

After decades of nurturing his own forest, Chris now shapes its timber into enduring, beautifully balanced creations. Guided by the golden ratio, his work blends natural simplicity with refined craftsmanship. Every timber-frame structure, table, and board reflects respect for the trees and a commitment to timeless design.

Work

Our work spans timber-frame structures, custom furniture and surfaces, and finely made boards and gifts. Each piece is built with the same focus on material quality, proportion, and precision, regardless of scale.

Commissions

Custom work, clearly defined.

Commissions range from small, meaningful pieces created to mark special occasions to larger projects such as custom tables, innovative butcher blocks, office panelling, and full timber structures. Each project is approached with the same level of care, and the trust placed in Chris by his clients is a responsibility he takes seriously. He works closely with every client to shape a design that is both functional and considered, pursuing each build with focus and discipline to deliver work that inspires. While perfection is subjective, Chris’s standards and the number of repeat commissions speak to the quality of his work.

For larger pieces, the process begins with selecting the wood, often together with the client. Chris then develops drawings, sketches, or visual references to confirm the design before any work begins, ensuring clarity and alignment on the final outcome. Once the design is agreed, a detailed quote is provided, and a 50% deposit is required before the project commences. Timelines vary depending on scale and material, ranging from approximately two weeks for smaller custom pieces to several weeks or months for larger projects, particularly where kiln drying or extended preparation of the timber is required.
