La Casita was the first project Chris worked on in partnership with his teacher, Steve Chappell, and remains a deeply meaningful milestone in his journey. Together they designed, built, and finished this much-loved cabin with care and intention at every stage. From foundations set on individually selected stones, to the community coming together to raise the structure, and the use of indigenous methods for forming the clay walls, the project reflects a respect for place, people, and tradition. Thoughtful ironwork and carefully detailed windows complete the build, making La Casita a true labour of love and a foundation for the work that followed.
